This recipe for Parmesan Chicken is so tasty. It has a delicious savory flavor with the nutty, cheesy taste of the parmesan crusting the outside. Each bite is wonderfully juicy and a great source of protein. You can eat this on a salad, a bed of rice, or some pasta, like spaghetti with marinara sauce or tomato sauce. Ingredients
- Chicken Breast. Thinly sliced.
- Parmesan Cheese. Finely grated.
- Egg.
- Flour.
- Salt & Pepper.
- Avocado Oil.
- Butter.
How to make this Quick Parmesan Chicken
1. Place the chicken on a large cutting board in a single layer and season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with flour (about 1 tsp. of flour per each). Flip the ،s and repeat this step on the other side. Set the chicken ،s aside.
2. Whisk the egg in a shallow bowl and set aside. Place Parmesan in a shallow bowl and set aside too.
3. Melt the ،er and heat the oil in a large non-stick s،et over medium-high heat.
4. While the ،er is melting, dip the chicken ، in the egg and then coat it with Parmesan cheese (gently press the chicken, so more cheese will stick to it).
5. Now, place the Parmesan-coated chicken onto the s،et and fry for about 3 minutes per side. Try not to move the chicken as it fries, so the parmesan coating won’t slide off. You may need to work in batches, so you may be able to fit all of the chicken fillets at the same time.
6. Serve garnished with fresh parsley, more Parmesan, and lemon wedges. Enjoy!
Tips for the best Quick Parmesan Chicken
- Use a meat mallet. Using this or a rolling pin will help you flatten a thicker piece of chicken so it cooks quickly and evenly for the best chicken parmesan.
- Don’t move the chicken as it fries. Try not to move the chicken as it fries, so the parmesan coating won’t slide off.
- Work in batches. You may need to work in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan. This way, the chicken cooks evenly.
- Use chicken ،s. These work best for this recipe. You can use chicken tenders as well, but chicken thighs don’t slice as evenly.
Variations to this recipe
- Add breadc،bs. Get a thicker outer crust with Italian breadc،bs or Panko breadc،bs.
- Top it with mozzarella cheese. This adds even more cheesy deliciousness. Melt the cheese right on top of the breaded chicken for a chicken parm dish.
- Add other seasonings. Try this recipe with some garlic powder, fresh basil, or parsley. You can also use lemon juice for a little fresh citrusy flavor.
- Bake it. Bake the parmesan-crusted chicken in a 350-degree oven until its internal temperature reaches 165F degrees.
