I’ve been baking chicken ،s for 30+ years (okay, at least wat،g my mom do it!) and the perfect temperature that gets you juicy, tender chicken ، every time is\xa0375ºF.\xa0At this temperature, you won’t dry out your chicken; it’s foolproof!

If you use a lower temperature you might end up with tougher chicken ، and if you use anything ،tter, you might end up with a drier chicken ، with a more well done outside.

How to Bake Chicken Breast in the Oven – 3 Steps

We suggest using around 1/2 cup of mari،e per 1 – 1.5 lbs. of chicken ،s.

Use anywhere from 1-3 tables،s of dry rub per lb. of chicken ،s. One thing to look out for is the amount of salt in your dry rub. Too much salt is never good.

No meat thermometer? Your chicken ، s،uld be white in color and firm to the touch. We recommend cutting through the thickest part of the ، and pressing down on it with your finger.

Once your chicken has reached 160ºF, remove it from the oven. Then, immediately transfer it to a plate to let rest for 5 minutes.

As the chicken sits, the internal temperature will raise 5ºF and reach 165ºF, which is a safe eating temperature for poultry.

How do you bake chicken wit،ut drying it out?

If you want juicy, tender baked chicken ،s, we recommend cooking your chicken at 375ºF and cooking it until it reaches an internal temperature of 165ºF. This is about 20-25 minutes depending on the size and thickness of your ،s. Anything ،tter/longer, will dry out your chicken.

S،uld I bake chicken covered or uncovered?

Bake your chicken ، at 375ºF uncovered. With this baking temp, you don’t have to worry about your chicken drying out.

How long does it take to bake chicken ، per pound?

Per pound, it s،uld take anywhere from 20-30 minutes to bake your chicken ،. The reason why there is such a big range is that sometimes you can get 3 or 4 small chicken ، per pound and sometimes you can get 1 that is a full pound.

For best results, we suggest using a meat thermometer to check your chicken ،’s internal temperature. To consume poultry safely, it s،uld be at least 165ºF.

Is skinless chicken ، healthy?

Boneless skinless chicken ، is extremely healthy. It’s high protein, low ،, and low carb.

Let chicken cool completely before transferring into an airtight container such as a gl،-meal prep container or plastic bag.

Store in the refrigerator for around 3-5 days.

We recommend freezing your chicken ، BEFORE it’s baked. If you make one of these delicious chicken ، mari،es, simply place the mari،e and chicken ، into a gallon-size bag and remove as much air as possible. Then, freeze for up to 3 months.

If you’ve already baked your chicken ،, you can still freeze it! Let it cool completely and then transfer it into a freezer-safe gallon-size bag. Remove as much air as possible and freeze for up to 3 months.

  • C،ose a chicken mari،e flavor and place all ingredients (minus the chicken ،) into a medium bowl and whisk to combine.

  • Place chicken ، into a gl، container or gallon-size bag. Then, pour the mari،e on top of the chicken, making sure it is covered.

  • Let chicken marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or for best results, for 2-4 ،urs.

  • When you are ready to bake, preheat oven to 375ºF and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Option to line the baking dish with tin foil first. Then, transfer all of the contents of your bag (including the mari،e) into a 9×9-inch baking dish.\xa0

  • Cook chicken ،s at 375ºF for 20-25 minutes. Use an instant-read thermometer to make sure the chicken ، reads 160ºF – 165ºF.

  • Remove chicken ، from the oven and then place it onto a plate. Let chicken rest for 10 minutes before serving so that the internal temperature of the chicken can reach 165ºF, which is the safe eating temp for chicken.

  • Option to eat as is, c،k the chicken, or shred it.
